Common questions

Does CapCall record my calls?

No. Call audio is never recorded or stored — it’s processed live only to create captions. Caption text is saved to your account only if you choose to keep transcripts, and you can delete it anytime.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled through the App Store. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, to view, change, or cancel your plan.

How do I delete my transcripts or data?

In CapCall, open Settings to delete an individual transcript, delete all of your data, or turn transcript saving off entirely.

I forwarded my number to CapCall — how do I turn forwarding off?

If you set up CapCall by forwarding your existing line and you stop using the service, remember to switch call forwarding back off on your phone (typically by dialing #21#), so your calls ring on your phone again. CapCall will remind you whenever you turn the service off, sign out, or delete your account.

What about emergency calls?

Emergency calls are never routed through CapCall — they go straight to your phone’s native dialer. Keep another way to reach emergency services available at all times.
