Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 June 2026

This is a working draft to be reviewed by counsel before public launch. These Terms govern your use of the CapCall app and service. By using CapCall, you agree to them.

The service

CapCall provides live captions on phone calls and lets you reply by voice or by typing, with optional translation and transcripts. CapCall requires an internet connection and an active account to work.

Not a relay or emergency service

CapCall is a consumer captioning app. It is not a government-funded telecommunications relay service, and it is not a replacement for emergency calling. Emergency calls are handed off to your phone’s native dialer and are not captioned or routed through CapCall. Always be able to reach emergency services by other means.

Your account

You’re responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone number and device secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use CapCall.

Acceptable use

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. No call audio is ever recorded or stored.

Disclaimers

Captioning and translation are automated and may contain errors. CapCall is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Do not rely on captions for situations where an error could cause harm.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CapCall and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from caption or translation inaccuracies.

Termination

You may stop using CapCall at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated or to protect the service and its users.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
